Kid-Friendly Chocolate Chip Cookies

Dear Turkey,

Easy to stir with
Little hands, and just healthy
Enough for me, too


Kid-Friendly Chocolate Chip Cookies
(makes 24, an earlier version appeared here)

Ingredients:
- 2 sticks butter (or vegan butter, or probably even solid coconut oil) soft or melted (easier for small arms to stir)
- scant 2/3 c sugar
- scant 2/3 c brown sugar
- 2 T flax or chia seeds, whole or ground, soaked for a few minutes in 2/3 c warm water
- 1 t vanilla 
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t salt
- 1 c whole wheat flour
- 1.5 c white flour
- 1 c chocolate chips

Instructions:
- Combine the first 5 ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Eat as much of the dough as you want, since it doesn't have eggs.
- Cover two cookie sheets or baking stones with parchment paper and drop 12 cookies on each sheet.
- Bake at 375 F for 10-12 mins.
