Lacy and Sophisticated Chocolate Popcorn

Dear Turkey,

A little lighter
Than this one, which means you won't
Be able to stop

Lacy and Sophisticated Chocolate Popcorn
(serves 2-3)

Ingredients:
- 1/3 c un-popped popcorn kernels, freshly popped in plenty of canola oil and (very) generously salted
- 3/4 c semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1 T cinnamon
- 1 T vanilla extract
- 1-2 t orange zest

Instructions:
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and spread the warm popcorn on it.
- Microwave the remaining ingredients until the chocolate is melted. Then stir in some warm water to make it thin -- about the consistency of chocolate syrup or even a little thinner. Season to taste.
- Pour the chocolate over the popcorn and stir/toss/arrange to coat. You don't want to use so much chocolate that it's totally drenched (I can't believe I'm saying that), but it's good to have a little pooling/coating the bottom of the parchment so you end up with a little bottom crust.
- Bake at 350 F for 30-35 minutes, or until the chocolate is dry to the touch. You're looking for a lacy almost-burned layer at the bottom. It's kind of like a very soft, caramelized brittle.
- If you haven't eaten all of it right away, cool and store covered at room temp.

Enjoy,
Tofu
