Dear Turkey,
I know I've been posting a lot lately; you'll probably have to start skimming my posts just to keep up with them all. But I just couldn't wait to write about something that we both love. No, it's not me, it's Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread (PCCB). As I said earlier, I have several versions of this classic. Yesterday I made the "unhealthy" version, because I got some eggs as a present.
I pretty much put everything in a bowl and mix it up. Bake 350 for 1 hour in a greased pan:
3.5 c flour (whole wheat ok)
2t baking soda
1t cinnamon
1t nutmeg
1t salt
3c sugar
1c oil
4 eggs
2/3c water
2c (1 regular size can) pumpkin
mini chocolate chips (I usually use the whole bag, but, you know, I love chocolate...)
Attn coworkers: it is your lucky day since this is obviously not on my husband's diet.
I moss you,
Tofu
Dear Blogger,
ReplyDeleteWTF. I am using a different computer and these annoying formatting errors are still here!
You Know Who
Dear Turkey and Tofurkey-
ReplyDeleteI super dig your blog. I read it in the morning while i drink my coffee and green smoothie. if you ever would like a contributor or an idea about what to write about, i have been experimenting with smoothies and they are fun. however, pccb is much more entertaining than green, vegan smoothies. also, you are both very cool people.
i am disappointed that i did not find out the names of the chickens. i was excited, and then sad. can i have those details?
much love and admiration,
veggie-nugget
Dear Mr. or Ms. Nugget (or is it Dr., Lt., or Esq.? I don't want to presume nuggets can't rise high in this world),
ReplyDeleteThanks for being our first non-snarky commenter! I'm glad you like the blog! Maybe we'll do a smoothie post soon and you could share some of your secrets. And please contribute to our contest idea!
Cheers,
Turkey
Dear Turkey-
ReplyDeleteYou can call me Lt. Nugget. Thank you for responding to my comment! I look forward to your smoothie post.
Sincerely,
Lt. Veggie-Nugget
